The Al Andalus apartments in Alcossebre are one of the most sought-after choices for families holidaying in this town on the Castellón coast. The Al Andalus complex (you'll also see it as Residencial Al Andalus or Al Andalus apartments Alcoceber) brings together white apartment blocks, a very large garden with lawns and olive trees, and seasonal pools for grown-ups and little ones, all on one site.

Why the Al Andalus complex suits families with children
Al Andalus works well for families because it combines three things that matter a lot when you travel with children: outdoor space within the complex, a children's pool and the beach within strolling distance. Children can spend the afternoon between the lawn and the pool while the adults relax on the terrace, and in the morning Cargador beach is about a 7-minute walk away.
- Children's pool, separate from the adult pool, next to the garden.
- Large garden with paths, lawns and shade from the trees.
- Two-bedroom apartments for up to 6 people, some with bunk beds or a trundle bed.
- Ground-floor apartments with a terrace opening straight onto the garden.
- Supermarkets, cafés and restaurants about five minutes' walk away.
- Cot available as an optional extra (ask for the price when booking).

What the Al Andalus apartments are like
The complex has one-bedroom apartments (about 45 m², for 2 to 4 people) and two-bedroom apartments (about 55 m², for 4 to 6 people). All have a living-dining room with a sofa bed, a kitchen with washing machine, microwave and ceramic hob, a bathroom, Wi-Fi and a terrace overlooking the garden or the pool. Some are on the ground floor and some have air conditioning in the living room; the rest are cooled by fans.

A family summer in Alcossebre
Alcossebre is a quiet town with more than 10 km of coastline and four Blue Flag beaches in 2026. For a family staying at Al Andalus, the day usually splits between Cargador beach in the morning, the complex pool in the hottest hours and the seafront promenade at sunset. Our guide to family holidays in Alcossebre has a full summer plan, and the one on Cargador beach with children covers everything you need to know about the nearest beach.
What to know before you book
- The complex has stairs and no lift. If you're travelling with a pushchair or older people, ask for a ground-floor apartment.
- The pools are seasonal: they don't open all year round.
- There's paid underground parking; you don't need to book it in advance.
- The complex does not accept groups of young people or pets.
- Each apartment has a different owner and beds and décor may vary: check the listing for the one you choose.
If you're unsure about anything, see the Al Andalus FAQs or read how to get to the complex.
